door handles will swap, may have to change the trigger finger bits on the back. ign lock housing is same if mk2 is pre-90, stalks also fit if pre-90 but if the mk2 has the chunky style they sit further forward so may not be any good depending on your steering wheel. the earlier thin mk2 stalks are the same as mk1.

Gti and golf wheels also have a nice 3 spoke too, since I went aftermarket stereo and didn't even try to make my steering wheel controls work I'm thinking about just getting rid of the 4 spoke for a 3 spoke non control wheel, it's just simple and nice.
