Lotsof people lose weight doing a 24 hour fast, particularly if they do it frequently. I’ve never done a fast longer than 48 hours, and I’ve only done that twice, where as a lost most of my weight was lost doing a 24 hour fat 3 times a week. chrism35mr • 5 yr. ago. Ido 3 36 hour fasts per week on Alternate Day Fasting. I am on my 2nd week of ADF after doing 16/8, 18/6 with a 24 hour fast during the week. I find it easy since I've been doing IF since 12/28/19.
