I have a 2005 KTM 950 and use both the Seat Concepts Tall and the Seat Concepts Tall Two-Up. I'm 6' and have around a 32" inseam. I can't sit flat footed with either, but most of my foot touches the ground and my heels are partially on the ground. A true on-and-off-road machine, the 950 Adventure’s engine developed an impressive 98.00 HP (71.5 kW) @ 8000rpm while maximum torque (95.00 Nm) was reached at 6000rpm. Color was KTM Orange. 2004 model year marked the addition of Silver and Black colors which weren’t kept for future years as in 2005 the “S” became a replica of Dakar
The firm foam prevents sinking into the seat and keeps softer groin tissue up and away from the seat and impacts/vibration. The firm seat of the 950 is absolutely perfect, since my priority is support, and my buttocks is relatively narrow. All day rides are no problem. KTM: PLEASE KEEP MAKING FIRM NARROW SEATS!
Adventure Suspension Travel: 2003-04: 9.0" (230mm) - "S" 10.4" (265mm) 2005-06: 8.3" (210mm) - "S" 9.65" (245mm) 2007-08: 8.3" (210mm) - "S" 10.4" (265mm) Adventure Seat Height: 2003-04: 34.6" (880mm) - "S" 36.0" (915mm) 2005-06: 33.9" (860mm) - "S" 35.2" (895mm) 2007-08: 33.8" (860mm) - "S" 36.0" (915mm) Later 2021 on 1290 SAS has a much lower seat ht as standard. Had the 2017 model with the higher ergo seat fitted which was near perfect for me at at 6" 3" which in comparison to my later 2021 model is far too cramped for me and had to resolve matters by fitting highest possible seat and lower foot pegs.
CMWOODYS - That was the bike that I was waiting for!! The guys at DFW KTM were great and they cut a great deal didn't they. Would have cost me $17000 all in to get a new one to same spec as this one will be. Actually only cost me $11500 so I now have more money to go and ride it As for the seat, got a Renazco on the way so no farts on that one Pyn
